Brad V. Shuttleworth, Esq.
Mr. Shuttleworth is a smart, experienced and aggressive attorney, who has litigated hundreds of cases throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He attained a B.S. degree in Business Administration at the LeBow College of Business of Drexel University in 2000. In 2004, he received a Juris Doctor from the James E. Beasley School of Law of Temple University. In 2006, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Joseph A. Dych in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas before opening Shuttleworth Law, LLC in Center City Philadelphia.
Mr. Shuttleworth joined Alva & Shuttleworth, LLC in 2009. Admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Mr. Shuttleworth is proud to serve a broad client base throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
He is currently an ex-officio member of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association, where he served as an elected member from 2013 – 2015. In 2014, he served as Vice-Chair of the Board, and he served as Chair of the Board in 2015.
He has worn many hats within the Philadelphia Bar Association. In 2009, he served as the Treasurer of the Criminal Justice Section. In 2010, he served as the Chair-elect of the Criminal Justice Section, and he served as the Chairperson in 2011. Mr. Shuttleworth is a former member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention, and has served as an appointed member to the investigation division of the Commission. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and participates on its Criminal Procedural Rules Committee.
In addition, Mr. Shuttleworth is currently the Treasurer of the Philadelphia Criminal Law American Inn of Court.
Finally, Mr. Shuttleworth has been designated by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
